How many characters should a social media post be?
Rule of thumb: X posts up to 280 characters, Facebook posts 60-80, LinkedIn 1,300-2,000, and Google meta descriptions around 150-160. This counter tracks characters with and without spaces.
How is reading time calculated?
Reading time uses the average adult reading speed of about 200-230 words per minute. Speaking time assumes roughly 130-150 words per minute for presentations.
Does the counter work with languages like Chinese?
Yes. Characters are counted directly. For languages without spaces, the word count falls back to character counting so the numbers stay meaningful.
